Crocodile Rocks

Crocodile Rocks is Myrtle Beach's original dueling piano bar at Broadway at the Beach. The room fills with bachelorette parties, birthday crews and walk-ins six hours a night, and the bar needed a website and a ticketing system that could keep up with that kind of night. Axiom built both: the WordPress site and BoxOfficeOS, the custom reservation system behind every Get Tickets button.

Problem → solution

A piano bar that sells its own seats, every night of the year

The problem · 01

Guests couldn't see what was on tonight

Like most live music bars, the schedule tends to live in social posts and on the phone. Guests have no single place to see which nights are open, what a seat costs, or that a private party has closed the room until 9 PM.

The solution

A live show calendar on the website

Axiom built a month-by-month show calendar straight into the tickets page. Every night is its own card with the date, price, arrival time and VIP availability, and private-party closures show up as notices instead of quietly disappearing. Guests can flip ahead month by month and book any night they see.

The problem · 02

A show room isn't a theater

Generic ticketing tools sell numbered seats or general admission, but a piano bar sells areas: the pit, the drink rail, high-tops, VIP sections. Selling those by phone and spreadsheet leads to double-booked tables and awkward conversations at the door.

The solution

A seat map built from the real room

Guests pick their spot on a map of the actual floor, with the stage, bar, Croc Pit, drink rail and VIP areas laid out where they really are. Each area shows its own price and how many seats are left, and sold-out sections are marked before anyone tries to buy them. It runs on BoxOfficeOS, the reservation platform Axiom built for the bar.

VIP bookings took a dozen texts

Private VIP areas are a big night for a bar and a big decision for a group. When every VIP request starts with a phone call or a DM, groups wait on answers and some of them book somewhere else.

The solution

Self-serve VIP with a proposal path

The VIP page shows each private area with photos, group sizes and what makes it different. Parties of 25 or fewer can book online in a few minutes, and bigger groups get a proposal request that the team answers with a custom quote. Staff only step in where a person adds something.

The problem · 04

Party leads arrived missing the details

Private event inquiries usually come in as a name and a phone number. The manager then has to chase the date, the headcount and the occasion before quoting anything.

The solution

An inquiry form that asks the right questions

Axiom built a private-events page that walks a planner through the occasion, preferred date, estimated headcount and the kind of booking they want, from a reserved area to a full buyout. Smaller groups are pointed to online booking instead, so the inquiry form is kept for the parties that need a real conversation.

The problem · 05

Menus that live on paper go stale

Bar menus change with the season, and a PDF or a photo of a printed menu is often out of date the day it's posted. Guests planning a night want to know what's there before they arrive.

The solution

A real, editable web menu

The food and drink menu is a proper web page with sections, descriptions and prices that the bar can update in WordPress without a designer. It reads well on a phone and matches the look of the rest of the site.

The problem · 06

Most guests book from a phone

Tourists decide where to go on their phones, often from a hotel room or the sidewalk at Broadway at the Beach. A ticketing page that only works well on a desktop loses those guests.

The solution

Mobile-first booking from start to finish

The calendar, seat map and checkout were built to work on a phone first. Month tabs scroll with a thumb, show cards stack cleanly, and every step stays readable on a small screen.

Your business

Same problem? Same fix.

If you run a piano bar, comedy club, supper club or any venue that sells a room rather than a row of seats, Axiom can build the same thing for you: a site that tells your story and a reservation system that knows your floor. We'll set it up around how your night really works.
