Carolina Forest Strong – Honoring the Brave

Carolina Forest Strong, "Honoring the Brave," was a free community appreciation event for the first responders of the Carolina Forest wildfire and their families. It took place at Pelicans Stadium in Myrtle Beach on April 14, 2025, benefiting first responders and SC Mental Health for Heroes. Organizers needed a site that could take RSVPs, sell public tickets and bring in sponsors on a short timeline, so Axiom built and hosted a single-purpose event site.

Filling a stadium to thank the responders who fought a wildfire

The problem · 01

The guests of honor must know

At a free appreciation event, the guests of honor are the easiest people to miss. If first responders don't learn quickly that the day is free for them and their families, they don't come.

The solution

A sitewide RSVP banner and stadium video

A bar across the top of every page reads "Free for 1st Responders & Their Families" with an RSVP link. Below the navigation, a stadium video hero shows people where the day takes place.

Event details scattered across posts

When the date, place and cause are spread across social posts and flyers, people get confused, and sponsors and media can't find the basics.

The solution

The whole event in four cards

Axiom put the essentials in a row of four cards: date and time, location with full address, the event MC, and who the event benefits. Anyone can get the facts at a glance before scrolling on to guests, entertainment and food.

Planning a free event without a headcount

Free events are hard to plan for. Organizers need to know how many responders, spouses and kids are coming, and from which kinds of agencies, to plan food, seating and recognition.

The solution

A responder RSVP form built for planning

The RSVP page asks for name and email, then responder type (firefighter, police officer, EMT, dispatcher and more), plus how many adult family members and children each guest will bring. It also tells guests up front to bring their responder ID for entry.

The public wants in, too

Community members want to come and show support, but the free admission is for responders. Without a clear way to buy in, organizers miss both the crowd and the revenue.

The solution

A clear ticket section for the public

A Get Your Tickets section pairs a promo video with a price card for adults and kids and a Buy Tickets button. The button links straight to the stadium box office, so sales run through the venue's own system.

The problem · 05

Sponsors need to know what they get

Local businesses want to help, but "become a sponsor" with no details leads to back-and-forth emails, and some of them never follow up.

The solution

Sponsor tiers with a built-in sign-up form

Axiom laid out Platinum, Gold and Silver tiers with the perks of each, such as banner placement, logos on shirts, admission tickets and social media mentions. A form below lets a business pick a level and send its details in one step. Restaurants get their own food sponsor sign-up page.

The problem · 06

Sponsors want to be seen

Businesses that put money into a community event want public credit for it. That recognition is also what brings sponsors back next time.

The solution

A sponsor wall organized by tier

The Our Sponsors page thanks every sponsor with logos grouped under branded Platinum, Gold, Silver and Restaurant banners. Sponsors get a page they can share, and the next prospect can see who is already on board.
