Case study · Law firm: criminal defense
Chambers Law
Chambers Law is a criminal defense and traffic law firm with offices in Myrtle Beach and Conway. People looking for a lawyer usually search for the exact charge they're facing, often from a phone and often under stress. Axiom moved the firm from a one-page site to a WordPress site organized around those searches.

Problem → solution
A law firm site built around the charge people are searching for
The problem · 01
A one-page site can't cover every charge
On a single-page site, the whole practice is described in one long scroll. Someone facing a specific charge has to read through everything to see whether the firm handles it.
The solution
A practice-area grid on the homepage
The homepage answers 'What can Chambers Law help you with?' with a grid of practice areas, each with an image, a short description and a link to its own page. Visitors find their situation in seconds.

The problem · 02
Too many pages to navigate
Once a firm has a page for every charge, a plain menu becomes a wall of links, and visitors can't find the one they need.
The solution
An organized mega-menu
Axiom built a layered menu grouped by practice area, with flyouts for subcategories such as assault, domestic violence, property crimes and drug offenses. A visitor can go from the homepage to a specific charge in two clicks.

The problem · 03
General pages don't rank for local searches
Someone arrested for DUI in Horry County searches for exactly that. A general 'criminal defense' page rarely shows up for those searches.
The solution
A dedicated page for each charge
Each charge has its own landing page, like DUI Defense, written for that search with local details, plain-language explanations and a clear call to action. The pages give search engines a specific answer for each query.

The problem · 04
People in trouble call from their phones
Most people looking for a defense lawyer are on a phone, often right after an arrest or a ticket. If the number is hard to find, they call the next firm.
The solution
Tap-to-call on every page
The site puts the phone number in a bar at the very top of every page, and on a phone it's one tap to call. The mobile layout keeps the menu tucked away so the phone number is always the first thing people see.

The problem · 05
TV appearances disappeared after airing
When an attorney appears on local TV, the segment airs once and is gone. That's a missed chance to show the firm's knowledge to people researching a lawyer.
The solution
A media section with the segments
The homepage features the firm's appearances on WMBF's Grand Strand Today legal segment, with the video parts embedded and a short summary of the topic. Visitors can watch an attorney explain DUI law before they ever call.

The problem · 06
Law changes raise new questions
When state laws change, people search for what it means for them. A firm without fresh content misses those searches.
The solution
A blog for local legal updates
The site includes a criminal defense blog with articles on local legal news, such as liquor liability changes, marijuana DUI research and resisting-arrest updates, featured on the homepage. It keeps the site current and shows people the firm follows the law closely.
